I have been watching Wheel of Fortune for 40+ plus years and I continue watching every night with my wife and 3 boys. One night while watching WOF my 19 year son, Mitchell, commented, ""You are freakishly good at this show, you would be an awesome contestant."" Fast forward a few days later I was at school and my students were at Art class, so I decided to make a video.  I sent the video and filled out the forms thinking that this would never amount to anything.  What are the odds that I get picked?  Slim to none!!  I didn't even tell my wife and family that I applied.  I get an email about 2 weeks later inviting me to a WOF Zoom meeting.  WHAT!!!!??? I went up to my wife and said, ""Honey, I did a thing!"" I showed her the email and we were both jumping up and down like a bunch of school kids on a snow day! Then a couple of months later I was one of the 600 contestants that get on the iconic stage......out of millions!!!! I'm living the dream!  Thank you Wheel of Fortune!

Practicing for the show, I think I completed 1000 or more puzzles on the Wheel of Fortune app! Any downtime I was solving puzzles!!! Also, I believe doing crossword puzzles is another great way to practice for the show.  I also Googled the most popular consonants and vowels in the English language.  Did you know that the letter ""I"" is more popular than ""A""?......who knew!!! This changed my strategy on the show in case I made it to the final puzzle.

On the show....... It was surreal to be on the iconic stage!! All the contestants just kept saying, ""I can't believe I'm here!"" The nervousness and excitement was immeasurable! We practiced and had our orientation in the Jeopardy studio.  2 legendary stages in 1 visit! The producers were awesome and walked you through every aspect of the day.  Early in the morning we are going over some paperwork and who walks in??????......Vanna White!!!!  She had her hair up in a ponytail and was arriving for work.  Still beautiful and stunning with little makeup on! I met Vanna later on stage and she is as sweet and kind as she appears on TV! What a beautiful soul!!!

On a side note, I didn't need a lot of makeup for my appearance on the show!  Just some powder!I guess they couldn't do much with this mug!! LOL 

Ryan Seacrest is an awesome host!  It takes a special person to replace the legend, Pat Sajak, but he is doing a great job.  I think it was his 3rd week of taping the show, and he was starting to get in the flow! He seems like a cool dude that you want to grab a beer with. Ryan let me know when you are in PA....I'm buying! 

Maggie Sajak is very sweet, and very tall!  I didn't realize how tall she was.....and of course she was wearing killer heels!!!
